But some releases? They just hit differently, leaving a lasting mark on our taste buds—and on our shelves. And if there’s one that still stands out, it’s the legendary Flamin' Hot Mountain Dew.

Originally dropping in the summer of 2021 as an exclusive online release from the DEW store and making a limited-time appearance on shelves in 2022, this fiery fusion of bold citrus and spicy heat quickly became a cult classic among Dew fans. And since the Venn diagram of Dew fanatics and our Dank Fam is pretty much one big circle, we pulled some serious strings to snag a few of the ultra-rare collector’s cans before the commercial launch. We even went a step further by inviting our customers to join us for exclusive live in-store tastings—giving them a chance to try the fiery flavour before anyone else in Vancouver!

For those lucky enough to be part of our taste-testing group, or those that managed to grab a can (or two) during its short run, the experience was unforgettable: a burst of that signature Mountain Dew flavour, followed by a blazing kick of heat that kept you coming back for more. It was an explosive combo that spoke to the true snack risk-takers—the ultimate dare for your taste buds. And honestly… who can resist a good dare?

But like many dank things, Flamin' Hot Mountain Dew was destined for a short shelf life. As quickly as it burst onto the scene, it vanished. And when it did, we—along with countless Dew fans—were left crossing our fingers, hoping for its return. Sure, there were whispers of a possible revival, but no guarantees, right?

While Flamin' Hot Mountain Dew is no longer sitting on our shelves (except for the can we’ve kept as a keepsake for all the fans who come through the store to admire), we can’t help but feel nostalgic. It wasn’t just a drink; it was an experience. A flavour that shouted, "Yeah, this is a little crazy and a lot unexpected, but that’s what makes it dank!" And that’s really what we’re all about at Dank Mart—embracing the unexpected, even if it’s only for a limited time.
