Ah, Canada Day.

A time for fireworks, BBQs, patio hangs, and politely saying “I’m just gonna scooch right past ya” while fighting through long weekend crowds.

We couldn’t let the holiday pass without dropping a very official Dank Mart Guide to a Very Canadian Long Weekend (whether you’re beach-bound, couch-locked, or trying to finesse a last-minute road trip in your cousin’s friend’s questionable convertible).

Step 1: Stock Up On Snacks (Obviously) 

What’s more Canadian than showing up to a BBQ where you were told “don’t bring anything”...and showing up with everything?

Whether you’re repping OGs like All-Dressed chips or flexing with imported gems (Brazil-exclusive Snickers, anyone?), Canada Day is not the time to show up empty-handed.

• Double Double Coffee Crisp (no-brainer)

• Anything maple-flavoured (it’s basically the law)

• Imported chips for that international drip

• Canada Dry—in bulk. Bonus points for limited-edition flavours like Peach or Pineapple

• Something from our freezer section. Literally anything. (Frozen tongue, full heart, can’t lose.)

Step 2: Cue the Vibes

Don’t forget your portable speaker (and a backup aux cord. Learn from our mistakes).

Nothing derails a good hang faster than Bluetooth pairing issues and someone’s weird folk-metal phase.

Lucky for you, this part’s easy, because we’ve got Dank Radio locked and loaded with fresh DJ sets that pair expertly with backyard hangs, fire pits, or kitchen dance parties while you’re waiting for the grill to heat up.

It’s Canada Day. Go off.

Even if you’re just walking five feet to your neighbour’s house or popping into Dank Mart for a last-minute snack stock-up. Canada Day is the perfect excuse to get a little ridiculous with it. Retro jerseys? Fire. Denim-on-denim? Can’t go wrong. Anything from the Dank Mart line of apparel? You’re already best dressed.

Extra points for anything red, white, or so aggressively Canadian it loops back around to ironic.
