DANK MART

If you’re one of the nearly 1.3 million lucky cruisers making port in Vancouver this season and looking to make the most of your time—whether you’ve got a few hours before or after your excursion, or an entire day to explore—keep reading. We’ve got the insider scoop on how to experience Vancouver like a local!

We may be a bit biased, but we think Vancouver is one of the most incredible cities in the world. From the stunning natural views and delicious bites to the good vibes that fill the air, especially during peak cruise season when the sun (hopefully!) shines down on us, there’s something for everyone. With so much to see and do, it can be tough to narrow it all down—because, let’s face it, you can never have too much time in a city like Vancouver. So, let us be your guides to the essential who’s, what’s, and where’s!

Your first stop? Visiting Dank Mart Robson Street!
Just a 20-minute walk from the port, Robson Street is the heart of downtown Vancouver—where even locals can’t resist the shopping and dining. And the best part? This is where you’ll find Dank Mart! We’re located just off Robson at 805 Thurlow Street, offering the most unique selection of snacks and drinks you won’t find anywhere else. We’re open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM, making us the perfect first or last stop to stock up on goodies that’ll fuel your Vancouver adventure—or that you can bring back with you on board. And if you’ve promised souvenirs to the people back home, skip the cheesy Canadian keychains and grab them something way cooler from Dank Mart (we’ve got tons of fire suggestions)!

Once your snack stash is sorted, head over to the Vancouver Art Gallery at Robson Square. You don’t even need to step inside the museum to get a taste of the culture—there are plenty of chairs and tables outside where you can relax, sip on a refreshing drink (we’ve got you covered for that!), and take in the sights and sounds of the city. It’s the ultimate people-watching spot, with food trucks, street performers, and if you’re lucky, you might even stumble upon a TV show or movie being filmed!

For stunning scenery without leaving the city, check out Stanley Park! It's just a quick transit ride from downtown Vancouver, or if you're up to it, take a scenic stroll through the city. Spanning 1,001 acres of lush rainforest (yep, that's over 700 American football fields!), the park offers jaw-dropping views of both the ocean and mountains—because in Vancouver, we really do have it all.

Feeling adventurous? Rent a bike or take a leisurely walk along the 10KM Sea Wall that loops around the park. If you're planning a dank picnic, Third Beach is the place to be. Grab a bag of gourmet chips or some imported cookies (you know where to get those) and soak in the epic Pacific Ocean views.

And don’t forget to keep an eye out for wildlife—beavers, harbor seals, and even whales make appearances from time to time! But if you spot any Canadian geese, take our advice: STEER. CLEAR. Trust us, not all Canadians are as friendly as they seem!

History Buffs, you’ll love Gastown! Stepping into Gastown is like taking a step into the past! With its charming cobblestone streets and Victorian buildings, this neighbourhood gives off major old-school vibes. Sip on your favourite dank drink or munch on a tasty snack as you wander through the eclectic mix of souvenir shops, local boutiques, and art galleries. Need a quick pick-me-up? Pop into Nemesis Coffee for a caffeine boost and tell ‘em the Dank Mart crew sent you! And hey, if you find yourself near the iconic Steam Clock, you’re just steps away from our friends at Lee’s Donuts. Pick up something sweet to pair with your dank drink—if you’re wondering what Seth Rogen’s favourite donut is, it’s the jelly-filled, FYI. You’re welcome.

There really is something for everyone! Whether you’re here for a few hours or a whole day, Vancouver is ready to show you its best! From the iconic sights of Robson Street to the natural beauty of Stanley Park and the timeless charm of Gastown, there’s no shortage of amazing experiences waiting for you. And don’t forget to stop at Dank Mart to stock up on unique snacks and drinks that’ll make your Vancouver adventure even more memorable.

So grab your snacks, hit the streets, and make the most of your time in this amazing city. See you soon!
