Dried citrus has gone from something you might spot behind the bar to a full-blown specialty food moment, thanks in part to the rise of craft cocktails, elaborate charcuterie boards, and snacks that look suspiciously too good to eat on Instagram.

Trader Joe's takes the idea one step further by keeping the entire orange slice intact, rind and all. That matters because the rind contains citrus oils that give the orange a more complex character than you'd get from dried fruit alone. The result is part snack, part garnish, and somehow completely at home in both places.

Toss one onto a cocktail, add it to a cheese board, try dipping it in melted chocolate, or just eat them straight from the bag. It's the kind of Trader Joe's product that feels oddly specific until you have it in your kitchen, at which point you're suddenly finding excuses to put dried orange on everything.
