Every year, the flavour makes its way back onto shelves as summer starts winding down, and every year the internet quickly and collectively switches from “it's still summer” to “WHERE ARE THE PUMPKIN PIE POP-TARTS?” 

And we get it, because the combination of pumpkin pie flavours (nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, the works) delivered in a Pop-Tarts pastry is so good that we start anticipating it on shelves before summer has even left the building.
