What started in 1912 as a simple sandwich cookie, just two chocolate wafers and a sweet vanilla crème centre, has become one of the most famous (and most experimental) cookies on the market. In fact, as of 2026, Oreo has released an estimated 100 to 245 distinct flavour variations of its iconic cookie, turning everything from Cookie Dough and Java Chip to Blueberry Pie into an Oreo. Basically, if a dessert exists, there's a pretty good chance someone at Oreo has wondered what it would taste like between two of their signature wafers.

Apple Pie À La Mode feels right at home in that lineup. First introduced in 2025, it quickly became one of those seasonal flavours that people weren't quite ready to let go of (hi, we’re people). Thankfully, it was brought back for Fall 2026, giving us another taste of that buttery pie-crust flavour, warm spiced apple, and sweet vanilla goodness.

This might be one of Oreo's most convincing dessert-to-cookie translations to date. Apple pie and vanilla ice cream already belong together, so putting those flavours into an Oreo just feels right.
