Snak Club has made a name for itself over the years with its bold flavour mashups and collaborations with major names like Tajín and Hot Ones, earning themselves quite the loyal following of adventurous snackers along the way. More recently, Snak Club has been introducing some serious heat to the swicy (sweet-and-spicy) movement taking over shelves, with products that bridge sweet candy and spicy snack culture. Enter: Snak Club’s Tajín Chocolatey Gummy Bears. 

The idea to combine classic candy with one of Mexico's most recognizable chili-lime seasonings reportedly came from a team member who tried a chili-lime chocolate treat while travelling in Mexico and thought the fusion of flavours deserved a spot on shelves back home. A little experimentation later, and these gummies made their debut in the US, eventually becoming a finalist for Most Innovative New Product at the 2024 Sweets & Snacks Expo.

And we can see why. There's something about the combination that sounds a little chaotic on paper but makes a serious amount of sense once you actually taste it. Tajín has already found its way onto everything from fresh fruit to candy to chips, so putting it alongside chocolate and some fruit-flavoured gummies feels less like a random experiment and more like the next logical step.

Sweet candy, smooth milk chocolate, Mexican chili-lime seasoning. Is it a little unexpected? Absolutely. Is that exactly why we want another one? Also absolutely.
