Oreo has never been afraid to get weird…remember the collab cookie they made with Sour Patch Kids?

So we’re not really surprised when, every once in a while, they drop a flavour that leaves everyone with the same question: "Who asked for this?"

Oreo Chicken & Waffles is one of those flavours, taking inspiration from the iconic chicken and waffles combo, a dish deeply connected to Southern and soul food traditions before becoming a brunch staple across North America. Sweet and savoury, crispy and fluffy, usually finished with plenty of maple syrup...it's a combination that actually makes perfect sense despite sounding like two completely different meals sharing a plate.

Now, Oreo is taking that same sweet-and-savoury idea and putting it between two of their Golden wafer cookies, with a dual-layer of creme in between that combines notes of sweet maple syrup and salty fried chicken flavour.
