Buldak started with noodles, but these days, the little fire chicken has clearly decided it belongs everywhere (not that we’re complaining).

Launched in 2012 as an ultra-spicy instant ramen, Buldak quickly became a global phenomenon thanks in part to the viral Hot Spicy Chicken Challenge. Since then, the Buldak name has expanded well beyond the noodle aisle, showing up across an increasingly chaotic universe of snacks and other food products.

Buldak Quattro Cheese Spicy Chicken Chips might be one of our favourite examples of that expansion. Instead of putting the signature Buldak seasoning on another noodle, the brand takes it in an entirely different direction with a real-potato chip base. It's a pretty simple idea, but one that makes perfect sense once you think about it: Buldak's iconic spicy seasoning, crispy potato, and four cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar, gouda, and camembert) all in one snack. It feels like a genuine evolution rather than just another product sporting the brand’s name and fire chicken character (whose name is Hochi, by the way. The more you know).

So it’s official: Buldak has entered its snack era, and honestly, we're very into it.
